about

Both words and melody date back to the early 13th century, preserved by chance within a manuscript in Oxford's Bodleian Library. It is the oldest English secular song in existence. Before a meagre fire, the ancient voice yearns for times of ease and plenty, while outside the thief winter tries the doors and windows, entirely indifferent to her suffering.

about

Thieves' Kitchen UK

Burning Shed describe Thieves' Kitchen as "a sophisticated mixture of the old and the new, as Mellotrons and Hammonds collide with powerful guitar riffs and unusual Canterbury prog harmonies fuse with art rock bite and ethereal folk-tinged songcraft."
