The Clockwork Universe

Michael Reilly Complex jazz-rock offering adventurous songwriting and some expert experimentation. My favourite track is the epic 'The Scientist's Wife' – a 20 minute fusion of numerous instruments that is a journey of many wonders. Favorite track: The Scientist's Wife.
Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)

Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) This overwhelming album proves that "Canterbury" still's got a bright future. Fans of Dave Stewart and "Hatfield and the North" can cheer up! Phil Mercy and Thomas Johnson are no newbies in the world of prog. Phil Mercy has done a stunning album in 1998 for "Mellow Records", and Thomas Johnson is the keyboardist of one of the most accomplished Swedish prog bands ever: "Änglagård". They are complemented by the brilliant lyricist and vocalist Amy Darby, who plays clarinet and recorders as well. Favorite track: Library Song.

Can This Even Be Called Music?
Can This Even Be Called Music? thumbnail
Can This Even Be Called Music? What this album does, it does very well. The execution of this album is phenomenal, in terms of composition, arrangment, and performance. The airy female vocals work well astride the bombastic organ riffs, angular guitar lines, and ethereal flute melodies, backed up by the computational rhythm section. I find this release sets the galactic gears in motion quite pleasurably. There is music in the spheres indeed.

Deidre House

Deidre House Top-notch progressive rock featuring a female vocalist and flute. A modern twist on the classic Canterbury style with a delightfully jazzy flavor. Will likely please any fan of classic prog rock. Favorite track: The Scientist's Wife.

about

" A welcome comeback for one of the few outfits whose music truly feels timeless." Raffaella Berry - DPRP

"This is a quite stunning piece of work, which repays repeated listening, and grows in stature with each listen. I cannot commend it highly enough to those of you who like your music a little askew from the norm, but with virtuosity and inventiveness present in spades." John Simms - Skypilot.

"...their strongest album to date without question. I remember when Dave Stewart wrote music like this." Bill Gilham - Progarchives
